It’s okay. I’ve done it, too.
Here’s the thing I’ve learned that I want to share with you:
Food is not “bad” OR good.”
Food is fuel.
Sure, some food is more nutrient-dense than other food, but food is also an integral part of our social well-being. Some of your best memories likely revolve around food. Birthday dinners with friends. A nutella-filled crepe in Paris. Chinese takeout with a boyfriend. Grandma’s strawberry shortcake.
I want to re-shape your relationship with food. When you work with me, I do NOT:
- Restrict food groups
- Ban carbs and/or fats
- Tell you when to eat
- Or even what to eat
So, if I’m not telling you to not eat certain foods or what to eat when, what am I doing?
- Helping you change how you view food
- Working with you to uncover the mindsets holding you back
- Equipping you with tools to eat well most of the time
- Identifying how food can help you reach your goals
- Encouraging the occasional slice of cake
